Round 1 registration is open: see you in Shanghai on June 6–7

The debut 2026 season of Royal Drift Series officially begins on June 6–7 at Shanghai Tianma Circuit, and from today the doors are open: driver and team registration for Round 1 is live. The Welcome Round in April proved what this championship is capable of. Now the real story starts – with championship points on the line, a 1 000 000 USD season prize fund, and the inaugural Royal Drift Series title up for grabs.

How to apply

Before submitting an application, every driver must read the Supplementary Regulations for Round 1 in full. The document contains the registration link, the application procedure, banking details for the entry fee, the complete weekend schedule, and the rules of conduct at the venue. No application will be accepted from a driver who has not familiarised themselves with the regulations.

Entry fees for Round 1

  • Driver classification – 8 000 ¥ standard / 12 000 ¥ late application
  • Team classification – 10 000 ¥
  • Spare car fee – 1 000 ¥

Drivers and teams who pay for all five rounds of the 2026 season in a single installment receive a 10% discount on the total amount. Preliminary applications must be submitted no later than five days before the start of administrative checks.

Event format

The Round 1 weekend runs across five days at Shanghai Tianma Circuit, with the main action on Saturday and Sunday open to spectators.

  • Wednesday, June 3 – arrival and service park setup
  • Thursday, June 4 – administrative and medical checks, technical inspection, three training sessions
  • Friday, June 5 – four group training sessions, mandatory briefing, qualifying draw
  • Saturday, June 6 – eight qualifying groups, tandem races for a special prize
  • Sunday, June 7 – TOP 32, TOP 16, TOP 8, TOP 4, awards ceremony and autograph session on the track

A welcome ceremony for all drivers takes place on the track at 13:20 on race day. Awards and autograph session – 17:10.

Venue

Shanghai Tianma Circuit, the same track that hosted the Welcome Round. Round 1 uses a dedicated section of the circuit with a layout designed for maximum spectator visibility and high-energy tandem battles. The full track map and service park layout are included in the Supplementary Regulations.
